Fiona Allen
Senior Podiatrist / Co-Owner

Launceston born, Fiona moved to Melbourne to study Podiatry at La Trobe University, graduating 2009. Working as a Podiatrist for over 12 years, Fiona has gained extensive experience in different locations along the East Coast of Australia. Having lived back at home in Launceston for the past 5 years, she has enjoyed reconnecting with the local community and the lifestyle that Tassie offers.
She is known for her particular eye for detail and takes pride in her high standards when performing general foot care treatments.
Whilst enjoying all aspects of Podiatry, Fiona holds a particular interest in:
- Treating and managing ingrown toenails both conservatively and surgically
- Paediatric podiatry
- Treatment of warts
- Sports and musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation and prevention
- Biomechanics and associated orthotic therapy
A Mother of 2 young children, Fiona understands and is passionate about giving kids the right start in life and building the foundations of good foot health. She loves meeting and helping new people and prides herself on building long term relationships with her patients. When not caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time outside in the sun with family and friends, pilates, running, watching test cricket and AFL and reading a great book with an endless cup of tea.

Sinéad Tracey
Senior Podiatrist / Co-Owner

Studying at Queen Margaret University in her home country of Scotland, she finished in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. After a year of work she moved out to Australia to further her career.
With over 15 years of experience she has developed exceptional clinical skills and excels in all aspects of general podiatry. Sinéad has always had a keen interest in Paediatric Podiatry. Having a young son, she understands the importance of little feet developing properly over these vital early years. Other interests includes biomechanics and sports injuries. Tailoring rehab and strengthening programs to individual needs ensuring to keep them in their chosen sports and/or daily activities.
Outside of podiatry Sinéad enjoys running and yoga. She loves to stay fit and is completely obsessed with all food and loves cooking. She is also closely involved with musical theatre and has performed over 7 times at the Princess Theatre. She is known for bursting into song in the clinic (whether we like it or not). Once, she even ran off and joined the Guatemalan state circus.
Sinéad understands that everyone’s goals and expectations are different and need to be addressed individually. She takes a professional approach while creating a safe and friendly environment.

Fergus Poynter
Podiatrist
Born and raised in Launceston, Fergus relocated to Melbourne to study at La Trobe University, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Podiatric Practice.
Since returning to Launceston, Fergus has worked across a wide range of podiatry settings, gaining broad clinical experience. He has a strong interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries, biomechanical assessment, and helping patients prevent injury through tailored care that supports their lifestyle and activity goals.
Outside the clinic, Fergus is a keen runner, hockey player, and fisherman. He lives in Launceston with his wife Georgie and son Eddie, and enjoys spending quality time with his family exploring the outdoors.

Zoe Sheppard
Senior Receptionist
Zoe Sheppard is our friendly receptionist here at Balance Foot Studio. She is passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every patient and supporting the clinic’s day-to-day operations.
Outside of work, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and their son Riley, cheering on weekend country footy and fitting in a run whenever she can
